Love is a word that is constantly heard,
Hate is a word that is not.
Love, I am told, is more precious than gold.
Love, I have read, is hot.
But hate is the verb that to me is superb,
And Love but a drug on the mart.
Any kiddie in school can love like a fool,
But Hating, my boy, is an Art.
                -- Ogden Nash

So sad

Some of the lines from one of my favorite poetry The Rime of Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I first studied it as part of my school syllabus, only first two parts, that is.

Water, water, everywhere,
nor any drop to drink

Ah ! well a-day ! what evil looks
Had I from old and young !
Instead of the cross, the Albatross
About my neck was hung.
